Hello. I would appreciate it so much if you could pray for me. I'm writing a final paper for a class and I'm having a bit of trouble. Thank You so much. God bless you and everything you do for his kingdom via your tumblr.
Of course we will pray for you . That the Lord will help you to relax and focus. That you will get a surge of energy and you will find all of the information that you need to have a great final paper. We pray that the precious Holy Spirit will clear out the cobwebs and that He will refresh you and fill you to overflowing. In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen. God bless you!!! :):)
I moved countries two months ago to study, but since moving I feel lost and empty. I really miss my family and I'm struggling to adjust here. It feels like I left all of me back home, and all that's here is an empty shell :( I also pushed God away, and I don't know how to get back to Him... Can you please give me advice? (And pray for me...?) Thank you :)
You just ask Him into your heart and start to read the Bible. He will reveal Himself to you and you will at least have that most important part of your life back. If you need help finding a good church there, let me know what city you are in and i will see what I can do to help you.
I hope that you have a laptop or a smart phone. many laptops and smart phone have the ability to SKYPE. If you could do this every week I don’t think you would miss your family so much. Can I ask why you decided to leave the country to study? If you are still lonely and miserable at the end of the term go home. If you don’t have a working knowledge of their language or customs it can be very difficult.
Of course we will all pray for you. That the Lord Jesus will touch your heart and gently lead you back to Him. We pray that you get a real hunger for His Word and that He will reveal Himself to you as you begin to read it so that you can grow into the Christian that God intended you become. In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen. God bless you!!! <3
Good day! i want to ask for help ma'am. can you explain to me the trinity? how God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit become one? and how come that Jesus is the son of the God Father when they are considered as one? how come that Jesus came from heaven to earth and God the Father still remain in heaven? What bible book can help me in finding this out. I'm going crazy looking for the answer. Thanks in advance for the help. more power ma'am.
The most difficult thing about the Christian concept of the Trinity is that there is no way to perfectly and completely understand it. The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain. God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God. Though we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different Persons of the Trinity to one another, ultimately, it is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, this does not mean the Trinity is not true or that it is not based on the teachings of the Bible.
The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons. Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods. Keep in mind when studying this subject that the word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God—three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who make up God. Of real importance is that the concept represented by the word “Trinity” does exist in Scripture. The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:
1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).
2) The Trinity consists of three Persons (Genesis 1:1, 26; 3:22; 11:7; Isaiah 6:8, 48:16, 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). In Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew plural noun “Elohim” is used. In Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7 and Isaiah 6:8, the plural pronoun for “us” is used. The word “Elohim” and the pronoun “us” are plural forms, definitely referring in the Hebrew language to more than two. While this is not an explicit argument for the Trinity, it does denote the aspect of plurality in God. The Hebrew word for “God,” “Elohim,” definitely allows for the Trinity.
In Isaiah 48:16 and 61:1, the Son is speaking while making reference to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Compare Isaiah 61:1 to Luke 4:14-19 to see that it is the Son speaking. Matthew 3:16-17 describes the event of Jesus’ baptism. Seen in this passage is God the Holy Spirit descending on God the Son while God the Father proclaims His pleasure in the Son. Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14 are examples of three distinct Persons in the Trinity.
3) The members of the Trinity are distinguished one from another in various passages. In the Old Testament, “LORD” is distinguished from “Lord” (Genesis 19:24; Hosea 1:4). The LORD has a Son (Psalm 2:7, 12; Proverbs 30:2-4). The Spirit is distinguished from the “LORD” (Numbers 27:18) and from “God” (Psalm 51:10-12). God the Son is distinguished from God the Father (Psalm 45:6-7; Hebrews 1:8-9). In the New Testament, Jesus speaks to the Father about sending a Helper, the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17). This shows that Jesus did not consider Himself to be the Father or the Holy Spirit. Consider also all the other times in the Gospels where Jesus speaks to the Father. Was He speaking to Himself? No. He spoke to another Person in the Trinity—the Father.
4) Each member of the Trinity is God. The Father is God (John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2). The Son is God (John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20). The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16).
5) There is subordination within the Trinity. Scripture shows that the Holy Spirit is subordinate to the Father and the Son, and the Son is subordinate to the Father. This is an internal relationship and does not deny the deity of any Person of the Trinity. This is simply an area which our finite minds cannot understand concerning the infinite God. Concerning the Son see Luke 22:42, John 5:36, John 20:21, and 1 John 4:14. Concerning the Holy Spirit see John 14:16, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7, and especially John 16:13-14.
6) The individual members of the Trinity have different tasks. The Father is the ultimate source or cause of the universe (1 Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:11); divine revelation (Revelation 1:1); salvation (John 3:16-17); and Jesus’ human works (John 5:17; 14:10). The Father initiates all of these things.
The Son is the agent through whom the Father does the following works: the creation and maintenance of the universe (1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17); divine revelation (John 1:1, 16:12-15; Matthew 11:27; Revelation 1:1); and salvation (2 Corinthians 5:19; Matthew 1:21; John 4:42). The Father does all these things through the Son, who functions as His agent.
The Holy Spirit is the means by whom the Father does the following works: creation and maintenance of the universe (Genesis 1:2; Job 26:13; Psalm 104:30); divine revelation (John 16:12-15; Ephesians 3:5; 2 Peter 1:21); salvation (John 3:6; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:2); and Jesus’ works (Isaiah 61:1; Acts 10:38). Thus, the Father does all these things by the power of the Holy Spirit.
There have been many attempts to develop illustrations of the Trinity. However, none of the popular illustrations are completely accurate. The egg (or apple) fails in that the shell, white, and yolk are parts of the egg, not the egg in themselves, just as the skin, flesh, and seeds of the apple are parts of it, not the apple itself. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not parts of God; each of them is God. The water illustration is somewhat better, but it still fails to adequately describe the Trinity. Liquid, vapor, and ice are forms of water. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not forms of God, each of them is God. So, while these illustrations may give us a picture of the Trinity, the picture is not entirely accurate. An infinite God cannot be fully described by a finite illustration.
The doctrine of the Trinity has been a divisive issue throughout the entire history of the Christian church. While the core aspects of the Trinity are clearly presented in God’s Word, some of the side issues are not as explicitly clear. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God—but there is only one God. That is the biblical doctrine of the Trinity. Beyond that, the issues are, to a certain extent, debatable and non-essential. Rather than attempting to fully define the Trinity with our finite human minds, we would be better served by focusing on the fact of God’s greatness and His infinitely higher nature. “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” (Romans 11:33-34).
I like to use the egg as an example of the Trinity. The yolk is God the Father, The white is Jesus and the shell is the Holy Spirit. They are all separate parts of one egg. I hope this helps you. God bless you!!! :):)
is satan the one in the snake in Genesis chapter 3? Is that snake ever mentioned again after that incident? thanks for answering ma'am. more power!
Yes, the serpent in Genesis chapter 3 was Satan. Satan was either appearing as a serpent, possessing the serpent, or deceiving Adam and Eve into believing that it was the serpent who was talking to them. Serpents / snakes do not possess the ability to speak. Revelation 12:9 and 20:2 both describe Satan as a serpent. “He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years” (Revelation 20:2). “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him” (Revelation 12:9).
While the Bible is not clear as to whether or not the serpent stood up or walked before the curse, it appears likely that like other reptiles it probably did walk on four legs. One interesting note, they did find a fossil in the Mideast of snakes that had legs. That would seem to be the best explanation of Genesis 3:14, “So the LORD God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.’” The fact that the serpent was cursed to crawl on his belly and eat the dust of the earth forever is also a way of indicating that the serpent would be forever despised and looked upon as a vile and despicable creature and an object of scorn and contempt. Why did God curse the serpent when He knew that it was actually Satan who had led Adam and Eve into sin? The fate of the serpent is an illustration. The curse of the serpent will one day be the fate of Satan himself (Revelation 20:10; Ezekiel 28:18-19). No I don’t think it was. God bless you!!! :):)
One of my best friends daughter and her husband attend his church. They both really like him and say that he sticks to the Word of God and that he loves the Lord Jesus with all of his heart. God bless you!!! :):)
Can you please pray for my friend. She's Morman, but she came to church with me last night and said that she enjoyed it. I'm seeing her on Thursday so hopefully I can talk to her about it more and ask her to come again. Can you please pray that she will hear the true gospel and see how her church is deveived, and that she will be truly saved by faith and grace! Please and thank you very much :)
Of course we will all pray for her that the Holy Spirit will move like a mighty Wind through her life and show her the truth. We pray that she is lead straight to Jesus and accepts Him as her Lord and Savior. In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen God bless you!!! :):)
what do you think about the lifeclass on OWN with Oprah, Chopra and Perez!!!
I will not watch anything on the OWN Network and I urge all Christians to take a stand against her network. It certainly isn’t Christian. Deepak Chopra has his base in Hindism. Their “Lifeclass” is all New age. The expression “New Age” came into existence in the 1970s and 1980s. It was encouraged by the circulation of the New Age Journal and a book by Mark Satin called New Age Politics. Marilyn Ferguson’s best-selling Aquarian Conspiracy was a presentation of the social agenda and philosophical vision of the New Age. Ferguson’s writing attained status as the unofficial scripture of the movement. As Russell Chandler, one-time religious writer for the Los Angeles Times, wrote in his small booklet Understanding the New Age, “If Ferguson wrote the New Age ‘Bible,’ Shirley MacLaine is its high priestess.”
Shirley MacLaine’s book Out on a Limb chronicles her reluctant conversion to New Age belief. This book includes her travels and studies, which include science fiction-like dimensions, out-of-body travel, contact with extraterrestrial beings, and “trance channeling” (séances)—a “guided tour” of the unseen world. MacLaine’s second book, Dancing in the Light, tells about her reach into the world of yoga, reincarnation, crystal power, Hindu mantras, and past-life recall experiences mediated through acupuncture. Her spirit guides informed her that each individual is God, and she passed along the “wisdom” that a person is unlimited. One only has to realize it.
New Age thinking has its roots, then, in Eastern mysticism which bypasses the mind. There is a new organ of perception—the third eye—which gives spiritual light. One needs to get to the “psychic self” by training one’s self to ignore the messages from the mind. Really, it is throwing the mind in neutral.
The Western mind, of course, is trained differently. We are people who use our reason, hopefully. The New Age thinkers came along and said that the mind is not bypassed, but it is actually the mind that is achieving “cosmic consciousness.” They tell us that the mind can create reality.
Neil Anderson in his timely book Walking Through the Darkness writes this about the New Age movement: “The New Age movement is not seen as a religion but a new way to think and understand reality. It’s very attractive to the natural man who has become disillusioned with organized religion and Western rationalism. He desires spiritual reality but doesn’t want to give up materialism, deal with his moral problems, or come under authority” (page 22). Then Anderson summarizes the New Age thinking (pages 22-24) as follows:
(1) It is monism, the belief that all is one and one is all. History is not the story of humanity’s fall into sin and its restoration by God’s saving grace. Rather, it is humanity’s fall into ignorance and the gradual ascent into enlightenment.
(2) All is God. If one is one, including God, then one must conclude that all is God. It is pantheism—trees, snails, books, and people are all of one divine essence. A personal God who has revealed Himself in the Bible and in Jesus Christ is completely rejected. Since God is impersonal, He doesn’t have to be served. He is an “it,” not a “He.”
(3) There is a change in consciousness. If we are God, we need to know we are God. We must become cosmically conscious, a state called “at-one-ment” (a counterfeit of atonement), self-realization, god-realization, enlightenment or “attune-ment” (being “tuned in” to the cosmic consciousness). Some who reach this enlightened status will claim to be “born again.” This is counterfeit biblical conversion. The real essential is not whether we believe or meditate, but whom we believe in and what we meditate on. Christ is true personal objective reality, as He said that He is the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
(4) A cosmic evolutionary optimism is taught. There is a New Age coming. There will be a new world order, a new world government. The New Age thinkers believe that there will eventually be a progressive unification of world consciousness. This, according to the Bible, is a counterfeit kingdom led by Satan himself. Christ has the true kingdom, and He will one day rule on earth with peace for all who accept Him as Savior and King (Revelation 5:13).
(5) New Agers create their own reality. They believe that they can create reality by what they believe, so by changing what they believe, they can change reality. All moral boundaries have been erased by the metaphysical influence of Taoism’s yin and yang, the ebb and flow of competing and complementary forces. There are no absolutes because there is no distinction between good and evil. Nothing has reality until one says that it is reality or says that it is truth. If finite man can create truth, we are in desperate trouble in our society. Unless there are eternal absolutes from the eternal God, man will eventually become his own destruction.
(6) New Agers make contact with the kingdom of darkness. Calling a medium a “channeler” and a demon a “spirit guide” has not changed the reality of what they are. This is the kingdom of darkness of which Satan is the head, who asked Eve, “Has God said?” Those involved in this kind of activity are in contact with a world that is totally opposed to the biblical God revealed to us in Jesus Christ who defeated Satan in His life (Matthew 4:1-11) and then through His death and bodily resurrection (Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14-18).
The New Age movement is a counterfeit that appeals to the minds of individuals leading them to think that that they are God and can enhance their lives through their own person. If this is thought through, it becomes quickly apparent that this is impossible. We are born, grow up, live a while on Planet Earth and die. Humans are finite. We can never be God. We need someone greater than us yet like us who can provide us forgiveness and life eternal. Only One has filled this description, the God-man, Jesus Christ. Through His death and bodily resurrection, He has won for us what we desperately need—forgiveness before God and the guarantee of purpose and meaning in this life with life beyond the grave. Don’t miss out on who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you. Read John 3 in the Bible. Ask Christ to be your Savior. Your life will be transformed, and you will know who you are, why you are here, and where you are going.
Maybe this is one of the reasons Oprah’s “OWN” Network is failing miserably. I don’t know any Christians that will watch anything she puts on television. I would like to have everyone pray for Oprah so that she truly finds the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. God bless you!!!
Hello. My name is Morgan. Can you help me pray for my best friend’s nephew?
His name is Jerry Ronan. Her big sister had him on April 20th, 2012 and he’s stealing hearts fast. But,he’s struggling right now. He’s on an IV and a breathing tube. He has low oxygen levels along with a low blood count.
He’s currently being transferred to a Children’s Hospital to get looked at further. The entire family is scared that something is wrong and he’ll have to stay hospitalized for a long time. They’ve already had it happen once before, with her baby brother Ryan. We are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
So, to anyone reading this, please keep him in your hearts. Keep him in your minds. For the religious types, pray.
She have yet to meet her Nephew, and she already loves him with all her heart. She just want him to come home.
I’m so scared for him. I posted on my blog earlier about him, and it made me so upset that nobody even liked the post. I really want him to be okay. Please, please. Help me pray for him. I know God has a plan for him, that he wasn’t meant for a short life.
I would appreciate as many prayers as possible going out to him.
”—Our dear heavenly Father, we all lift up this precious new life to You. We ask that Your Holy spirit blow healthy life into this boy so that he may grow up as a happy and healthy young man. We pray for his parents and grandparents as they hold a vigil next to his bed in prayer. Touch there hearts Lord and through the healing of this precious baby boy lead this whole family to the Lord Jesus Christ. Let them all find You as their Lord and Savior as you touch this baby boy. In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen. God bless you all!!!<3
As Christians are we called to hang out with everyone who asks us to? I have some friends (sort of) that always ask me to hang out, but I either have homework or I just don't wanna hang out. Often they are people who go to the bar and try to get me to sin with them, but sometimes they just wanna go for coffee too. I really don't wanna go and I feel like I'm wasting my time and like they are damaging to me. Do I have the wrong attitude? Do I have to hang out with everyone?
No you are not called to go to places of sin or hang out with everyone. You can politely decline. You should invite them to church with you so that they have the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Savior. Time is very short and the Lord doesn’t want anyone left behind. God bless you!!!
What does the Bible say about plastic surgeries? Is it ok for Christians to do it? You see, I have this big problem about how I look. I always think that if I had a better nose, I would feel confident about myself. I am jealous of the gorgeous people out there. I feel really sad. I understand that God made me wonderfully and the Bible itself declares that, but I can't help but feel sad. I feel really sad, i feel depressed and low. Help me pray please?
The Bible does not specifically address a Christian having plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery. There is nothing in the Bible to indicate that plastic surgery is, in and of itself, wrong. However, there are several things that one needs to consider before deciding whether or not to undergo these procedures. Altering one’s body is unnatural, and there are always risks of potential side effects, both physical and psychological. No one should allow himself to be put “under the knife” without first thoroughly researching all alternatives, risks, and side effects involved with the surgery. A person also needs to fully identify his or her motivation for desiring the surgery. For many with physical deformities—whether genetic or acquired—it is natural to want to fit into society and feel “normal.” There are also cases of slight abnormalities that would cause someone to feel very uncomfortable with himself, such as a very large or misshapen nose. But many, if not most, plastic surgeries are attempts to meet emotional voids in physical ways, to attract attention, or to seek approval from others.
The most commonly performed cosmetic procedures include breast augmentation/lifts, liposuction (the removal of body fat), facelifts, eyelid lifts, buttock and other body lifts, leg vein treatments, botox/fat injections, and nose and face reshaping. Approximately two million people subject themselves to these kinds of procedures each year, shelling out money and sacrificing time and comfort. When vanity motivates a person to undergo surgery, he/she has become his/her own idol. The Bible warns us not to be vain or conceited (Philippians 2:3-4) and not to draw attention to ourselves by the way we look (1 Timothy 2:9). Another concern would be the cost. This is a major consideration because most people have families, and the expense of plastic surgery should never come before the needs of the family. The Bible also tells us that we need to use wisely the money that God has entrusted to us (Proverbs 11:24-25; Luke 16:10-12).
The most important thing to do before making the decision to undergo plastic surgery would be to consult God about the issue. The Bible tells us that God cares about every worry and concern that we have, so we should take our problems to Him (1 Peter 5:7). Through the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, we have the ability to make decisions that will please and honor Him. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised” (Proverbs 31:30). Even the most skilled surgeon cannot hold back the hands of time, and all cosmetic surgeries will eventually have the same result—aging. Those lifted body parts will sag again, and those cosmetically altered facial features will eventually wrinkle. It is far better to work on beautifying the person underneath, “that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight” (1 Peter 3:4). God bless you!!! :):)
so when the rapture happens and all of the "real" christians are taken to heaven, will everyone else be aware of whats going on? or will people just be like "wow, millions of people just disappeared, i wonder what happened to them". or will the media tell a lie as to how everyone dissappeared? or will everyone know it was the rapture and panic that they were left behind?
Anyone who has ever heard about Jesus will know what has happened. I am sure the media will lie and tell everyone they don’t know what has happened. The ones that do know will be very panicked and will have to live and die for Jesus and never take the mark, the name or the number of the beast. If they do they will never get to heaven no matter what else happens. God bless you!!! :):):)
Hi ma'am! I love "Casting Crowns". My favorite song of them is "Who Am I". I dream to dance to it someday. Every October, our school celebrates "Dance for Jesus" I know it's far, but could you please help me? I would love to dance to it and feel His love. But I am afraid, I'm not popular, but I can dance. God bless you greatly ma'am! :)
You should dance for only Jesus. I don’t want you to care what any other person thinks. Ask the Holy spirit inside of you to come through you as you dance to the Lord. Jesus will see it and i know that He will love it. God bless you sister!!! :):)
Part2: happened in the treatment. The beautician lady exfoliated all of my front side including rubbing the exfoliating lotion over my breasts. I felt so uncomfortable, I wanted my husband to be the first person to ever touch me there not a stranger, but I didn't say anything because I know it's probably routine at day spas in my country and I'm shy and didn't want to make a fuss over her doing her job. I just feel a bit used and dirty, am I impure now? Ah I feel lost. Help please sister.
No it is just what they do at the spa. They don’t think anything of seeing your body. The see dozens of them every single day. Look at going to the spa the same way that you would look at going to the doctor. Do you feel dirty when they check you? The woman was just doing her job. She didn’t use you and you shouldn’t feel lost or dirty. You are not impure at all. God bless you sister!!! :):)
Part1: I'm 17 and today I went to a day spa for the first time to get a body scrub as a special treat. However when I went into the room to get ready for it they only gave me disposable panties to wear but no bra or singlet. I lay down on my stomach and the little Asian woman doing my scrub came in and exfoliated all of my back and back of my legs, but then she told me to turn over onto my back to do my front. I had nothing covering my chest and I felt so exposed, I had no idea that was what
You have been such a blessing in my life sister, you have no idea!!! Every day I read your posts and get so encouraged to continue pursuing God with my life. Your answers are so on point scripturally and it's easy for all of us to understand/relate no matter what we're going through. Thank you for being a living testimony and a strong woman of faith, praying for each and everyone of us. Also, thank you for your wisdom. I aspire to reach your spiritual maturity one day. Take care & God bless! :))
Oh my precious brother, You bring tears of joy to my eyes. God bless the very sweet spirit of Jesus Christ inside of you. It means more that you can ever know. I cannot wait to meet you someday in Heaven!!! God bless you richly!!! :):):):)
in your last question you wrote this "The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air" does this mean no human is in heaven yet?
The dead in Christ shall rise first and they will be joined to their spirits. Then we who are on earth will meet them in the sky to be with Jesus forever in our new bodies. That will never die or never sin ever again!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!
I've been concerned about the youth and how they are so exposed to things like sex and drugs. Today while riding the bus, I over heard these two girls that were in the 5th grade talking about things like that, and I wonder sometimes, why they want to try and grow up so fast and thinking that wanting those things are the only "goals" in life. How can we as Christians reach out to a generation like that, when they don't want even want to save themselves?
That is one of the things that I find so very tragic in our society. Children are not allowed to be children any longer. it is one of the saddest parts of our society today. We as Christians can help these children by letting him have the joy of being children. To not rush growing up. To enjoy being a child. There is plenty of time for the other stuff later. Just let them enjoy being young children of God. This can only happen if we can get these kids and the church. Sadly in the world we live in today it is all really hard task. It is something we all have to pray about daily. Our children are our future. If they are hardened by Satan and sex and drugs and things of the world highest God to reach them? That is where we come in as Christians. We need to take the lead and help these children while we still have time. God bless your sweetheart!!! :):):)
Growing up I have always wondered, what happens to the people die never hearing the gospel? If they were born in raised in a family or culture that was non-Christian and were not able to be witnessed to, will they also go to Hell? Since we're all sinners by nature are they held accountable? I, as a believer, want to reach out to the world as much as I can but I'm afraid we won't reach everyone :(
I can honestly tell you that our Lord is such a loving God that if they didn’t catch on about the Lord through creation and food and everything He supplies to them, He would never let them die without the hope of salvation. Those who have heard will not be given the same chance. I can honestly tell you that every single nation on earth has heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!! God bless you!!! :):)
There seem to be different “degrees” of Seventh-day Adventism. Some Seventh-day Adventists believe identically to orthodox Christians, other than believing that worship should be held on Saturday and that the Saturday Sabbath should still be observed. If these are the only differences, then, yes, a person could be a Seventh-day Adventist and still be a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
However, some Seventh-day Adventists believe in much more than a Saturday Sabbath / worship day. Seventh-day Adventists have been known to believe in the annihilation of the wicked instead of an eternal hell, and believe that believers who die enter a state of soul sleep and that a person must observe the Saturday Sabbath in order to be saved. Other problems with some Seventh-day Adventists are belief in Ellen G. White, the founder of Seventh-day Adventism, as a true prophet of God, even though many of her “prophecies” failed to come true, and that Jesus entered a second phase of His redemptive work on October 22, 1844, as “prophesied” by Hiram Edson.
So, what is Seventh-day Adventism, and what do Seventh-day Adventists believe? Should a Christian attend a Seventh-day Adventist church? Due to the potential doctrinal issues mentioned above, we would strongly encourage believers to not get involved in Seventh-day Adventism. Yes, a person can be an advocate of Seventh-day Adventism and still be a believer. At the same time, there are enough potential issues to make attending a Seventh-day Adventist church questionable at best. God bless sister!!! :):)
werent you a big supporter of kony 2012? why is everyone saying its a scam then?
I was against anyone hurting anyone especially young people. But if you go back to my posts, you can see that I also posted all of the posts that showed KONY to be false and something the liberal media put upon the loving youth of our country. Check it out. My followers will a test to it. God bless you!!! :):):)
The rapture and the second coming of Christ are often confused. Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether a scripture verse is referring to the rapture or the second coming. However, in studying end-times Bible prophecy, it is very important to differentiate between the two.
The rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (all believers in Christ) from the earth. The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. This will all occur in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The second coming is when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist, destroy evil, and establish His millennial kingdom. The second coming is described in Revelation 19:11-16.
The important differences between the rapture and second coming are as follows:
1) At the rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation 19:14).
2) The second coming occurs after the great and terrible tribulation (Revelation chapters 6–19). The rapture occurs before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
3) The rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:9). The second coming includes the removal of unbelievers as an act of judgment (Matthew 24:40-41).
4) The rapture will be secret and instant (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The second coming will be visible to all (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:29-30).
5) The second coming of Christ will not occur until after certain other end-times events take place (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Matthew 24:15-30; Revelation chapters 6–18). The rapture is imminent; it could take place at any moment (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54).
Why is it important to keep the rapture and the second coming distinct?
1) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, believers will have to go through the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10).
2) If the rapture and the second coming are the same event, the return of Christ is not imminent—there are many things which must occur before He can return (Matthew 24:4-30).
3) In describing the tribulation period, Revelation chapters 6–19 nowhere mentions the church. During the tribulation—also called “the time of trouble for Jacob” (Jeremiah 30:7)—God will again turn His primary attention to Israel (Romans 11:17-31).
The rapture and second coming are similar but separate events. Both involve Jesus returning. Both are end-times events. However, it is crucially important to recognize the differences. In summary, the rapture is the return of Christ in the clouds to remove all believers from the earth before the time of God’s wrath. The second coming is the return of Christ to the earth to bring the tribulation to an end and to defeat the Antichrist and his evil world empire. i can’t wait for that!!! God bless you!!! :):)
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:5. May I ask? Does the water and the Spirit have a relation between them? Like, if one just born of the Spirit but not of water, then what happened? Or what should he/she do? Thanks and God bless :)
You are born of the water when your earthly mother gave birth to you. If you have ever worked in a hospital or been present at a birthing. Nothing can happen until the water breaks then the baby slides into the world through that water. Jesus is talking about being born through the Spirit. That is His Spirit and that is what happens when we are born again. It is not of this world but of the spirit.. God bless you!!! :):)
Hello, good afternoon. i just want to ask if networking is wrong? or if there is anything in the bible saying that we should not do it? please? i will really appreciate your answer. thanks and more power. :)
I am networking all over the world and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Jesus commands us to go out into the world and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You go sister and share it!!! God bless you!!!! :):):)
(cont) of making him poor have been blocked? I know psychics are bad and condemned ect, but i was just wondering if the guy prayed to Jesus, if her efforts to "make" him poor wouldn't have succeeded. Also, as a hypothetical question, if i met this girl and for some reason she didn't like me and tried to make something bad happen to me could i 100% block her through prayer? thank you God bless
That is all of the devil. He cannot be touched by anything she does. if he is a Christian he is under the protection of the Lord God and no one can break that. He needs to come home now and get serious about the Lord and stop tempting God. Time is short it isn’t about money or what kind of life we can live it is all about salvation through Jesus Christ. We are living in the end times and that is no joke. Jesus is coming soon and we all need to be ready. We need to be about our Father’s work and quit playing around time is simply too short. God bless you!!! <3
i know this guy who was telling me about a girl who he met at a party who was something like a psychic. she basically told him and his friend their futures/who they are and he said she was scarily accurate. He also said that she knew a guy who was extremely wealthy, and the wealthy guy made her angry so she made him and his family poor because she has a "gift" I believe him. My question is, if the wealthy guy was a follower of Christ and asked Christ to protect him, would her attempts (cont)
I'd highly recommend the conference, not so much for Quran knowledge, but just vocabulary of words to avoid or say if talking to someone who is Muslim to better explain how we feel. The leaders of it are on the same page as you or I spiritually although they have found ways to open the discussion with Muslims. It was good, I wish they addressed more hard questions but it was about being friends and letting them see the kingdom of God in how we live, and how we dont question our salvation.
We don’t have too many muslims here. We have many Buddhists and they are loving people they just need to find Jesus. Calvary Chapel here sponsors a mission in Japan and so many found Jesus after the earthquake and many children were brought here to live until things get better at their home. We just need to all stay open to the Lord Jesus Christ for whatever He has for us to do. God bless you brother you mighty man of God!!!! :):)
As our family celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this year, I couldn’t help but feel so blessed to be a part of the family of God. the Lord has shown me so much this year. He is in the process of showing me just how much He will use my life to share His Gospel if only I allow Him to.
I can almost hear Him say take my hand and don’t worry I’ve got you covered. I start each day as a separate journey holding onto Jesus hand and learning to trust Him. Its not always easy. In the world we are conditioned to believe in ourselves and to trust in our own ways. However, I am becoming aware that the Lord’s power flows more freely through me when I acknowledge my weakness. It is in that weakness that I have begun to realize that Jesus is my strength. I am so humbled by His great love and patience with me. I can almost hear my Lord say it is when you are weak that I am strong. I love this Scripture in Jude 1:24-25:
to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious Presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our Savior be the glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forever more! Amen. I learned something new this week while reading the Bible. I need to ask the Holy Spirit every day for a refill. When I do this it creates a strong connection and His power flows into me continually. It gives me the strength that I need to get up every single morning and start fresh. I can keep walking with the Lord one step after another that’s all He asks of me. He gives me the strength that I need to resist discouragement and defeat. The strength to completely depend upon Jesus. It is when I completely depend upon Jesus and I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Even when the path is a rocky and steep, it is still the path of my life. My journey with the Lord Jesus.
This past week the Dalai Lama came to Hawaii for a visit. Everyone was so excited to see him and everyone was calling him His Holiness, much like they do with the Pope. I couldn’t help but think yes he is a good man of peace, but at the end of the day he is just a man. People were bowing to him as if he were a god. Some people bowed down to him as if they were worshiping him. He met with thousands of people in the Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawaii. I couldn’t help but think where is the separation of church and state here. If it were Billy Graham coming to Hawaii to speak about peace, or to urge us to pray for peace, he would never be allowed to speak at the Stan Sheriff Arena because there is a separation of church and state. The last time I checked the Dalai Lama is a “religious leader.” It just seemed like such a double standard.
The First Commandment came into my mind. “Thou Shall have no other gods before me.” Jesus is God. Unlike all of the other gods that peoples from all over the world worship. Jesus Christ went on that cross at Calvary and took on all of the sins of the world and died on that cross… But, it didn’t stop there. Three days after Jesus Christ died and was buried he arose from the dead and walked on the earth. Scripture presents conclusive evidence that Jesus Christ was in fact resurrected from the dead. Christ’s resurrection is recorded in Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-20; Luke 24:1-53; and John 20:1–21:25. The resurrected Christ also appeared in the Book of Acts (Acts 1:1-11). From these passages you can gain several “proofs” of Christ’s resurrection. First is the dramatic change in the disciples. They went from a group of men frightened and in hiding to strong, courageous witnesses sharing the gospel throughout the world. What else could explain this dramatic change other than the risen Christ appearing to them?
If Christ were not raised, then where is His body? The disciples and others saw the tomb where He was buried. When they returned, His body was not there. Angels declared that He had been raised from the dead as He had promised (Matthew 28:5-7). Fourth, additional evidence of His resurrection is the many people He appeared to (Matthew 28:5, 9, 16-17; Mark 16:9; Luke 24:13-35; John 20:19, 24, 26-29, 21:1-14; Acts 1:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:5-7).
None of the gods from any other religion can say that their leaders arose from the dead. You can visit their graves. When you go to Jesus Tomb, it is empty! He is not there!!! Jesus is the Risen Lord!!! He is coming again and I for one am looking anxiously for His coming. If you do not know Jesus ask Him into your heart today.
God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery. The Bible says that disobeying God results in being separated from Him. Our attempts can never unite us with God. Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God – without success. I believe that each one of us has a little puzzle piece in each of our bodies that only the love of God can fill. We try to fill it with all kinds of things like sex, boyfriends, children, drugs, alcohol, education, clubbing, partying and everything else that you can think of. The thing is nothing fits right in there. Only God can quench the longing of your soul. 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second into their mother’s womb to be born!” 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:3-6
If you want a new life in Christ Jesus, ask Him into your heart today. Simply pray this: Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you took the pain of the cross to give me new life. I ask you to come into my heart and to give me your peace and joy. I confess that I am a sinner that I have gone my own way and have done wrong. Please forgive me for my sins. I receive you now as my Lord and Savior. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit. Help me to follow you and to serve you all my life. Thank you, in Jesus name I pray, Amen. If you prayed that prayer you are a new creature in Christ Jesus! You are Born Again!
There are two keys to knowing God’s will for a given situation: 1) Make sure what you are asking for or considering doing is not something the Bible forbids. 2) Make sure what you are asking for or considering doing will glorify God and help you grow spiritually. If these two things are true and God still is not giving you what you are asking, then it is likely not God’s will for you to have what you are asking for. Or, perhaps you just need to wait a while longer for it. Knowing God’s will is sometimes difficult. People want God to tell them specifically what to do—where to work, where to live, whom to marry, etc. God rarely gives people information that direct and specific. God allows us to make choices regarding those things.
Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” The only decision God does not want us to make is the decision to sin or resist His will. God wants us to make choices that are in agreement with His will. So, how do you know what God’s will is for you? If you are walking closely with the Lord and truly desiring His will for your life, God will place His desires on your heart. The key is wanting God’s will, not your own. “Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). If the Bible does not speak against it and it can genuinely benefit you spiritually, then the Bible gives you the “permission” to make decisions and to follow your heart. If you truly seek God’s will with a humble spirit and an open mind, He will reveal His will to you. God bless you!!! :):):)
