Anonymous asked:is it okay to be in love with a mentally disabled girl? i am not a creep or nothing. i'm 17 and she's 16 and i grew up with her. she is slightly downsyndromatic but she is the best person i know, capable of feelings and she's smart and so amazing. i have loved her for years and people make fun of me for it but i don't care. we go to church together as friends and i wanted to ask her out on a date but am afraid i'm doing something wrong. my intentions are to marry her someday hopefully.

I would be really careful with that.  You are leaving the girl wide open for a world of hurt.  Be her friend and someone she can count on.  Get to know her family and find out all of the particulars with her disease. Really search your soul and see if you are willing to live with all of this.  It is quite a commitment.  God bless you!!! :):)
