Anonymous asked:Recently my dad has gotten severe neck pains. He hasn't been working for a month and plans to not work for many months to come. My mom only works part time and she can't support the whole family. So many changes are going to happen and we might not even have the money for food to be put on the table. I'm so scared, I don't know what to do. I'm too young to get a job and I'm still in school. I'm also afraid I won't get into a good college. Any Godly advice for this situation? Thank you <3

Has he gone to the doctor for these pains?  If he got these pains while working, many times he can make a workers compensation claim.  If he got the pains while not at work he can file for TDI.  That will give you at least half of what he was making while his body has a chance to heal.  If his pay is gone you would also be able to file for public assistance until he can get on his feet again.  Sometimes during really hard times like this we sometimes have doubts about God’s goodness and His promises to provide for His children. How is the Christian to react to these catastrophic life events? What biblical principles can we apply to the loss of a job and benefits (health/life insurance, retirement)?

First, it’s important to understand that God has ordained work for mankind. Work is described in the Bible as beneficial in that it provides for our needs (Proverbs 14:23; Ecclesiastes 2:24, 3:13, 5:18-19) and gives us the resources to share with others in need (Ephesians 4:28). Your father clearly cannot do the work that he used due to his physical ailment.  Pray and ask that the Lord heal him and help your family to get back on their feet.  Read the Bible every day and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you through His Word.  Lets pray together for you and your family that the Holy Spirit will give you Power & Victory of the Lord in every area of your life! That the Lord will heal the pain in your fathers neck so that he will be able to go back to work again and provide for his family.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen!!  God bless you!!! :):)
