I know it is really sad.  I have lost some of my very best friends in the world that were my dogs and cats.  They die because we all live in a fallen world.  Everything dies.  Even Jesus died but the difference with our Lord Jesus is death couldn’t hold Him.  He arose from the dead and walked the earth.  He talked to people ate with them and the very best thing He when He ascended was to leave us The Holy Spirit so we wouldn’t be alone or without help.  I am hoping that I will see all of my beloved dogies and cats when I get to heaven.  I just can’t wait!!!  God bless you!!! :):):)
