Honestly it was when the Lord brought me through lung cancer and showed me how I could experience joy in the midst of something that is so scary.  When it gets down to life and death, what is important is very simple.  All the material things no longer matter at all.  Through the small cell lung cancer the Holy Spirit never left me.  Chemo therapy was one of the hardest things I ever went through. But I can honestly tell you I felt joy through it.  Then when I came home He gave me this scripture:

⁴ When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”  John 11:4 

Now I spend all of my time sharing how good the Lord Jesus is!!!  The Word of God has become  so important and I love my time with the Lord through that Word and prayer every day.  You know what I am no one special.  What Jesus did for me He will do for any one of you.  He is right there just waiting.
